Devlog #10 Stage 2 in progress
Welcome back escapists! In this devlog, we are going to share about the progress that we have made for the last one week. For the last one week, we are focusing on making some assets for stage 2 of Escape!. As mentioned before, stage 2 will be played in a laboratory. Here is the detailed explanation about the progress for stage 2:
1. There will be 2 types of platforms which the player can walk on top of them. The first will be a rectangular one (the green one) and the second will be a square one (the colorful one). These two platforms don't have any differences except for the shape which will matter in stage 2.
2. The laboratory used is indeed a research laboratory which can be indicated by the appearance of machines creating a floating tank in the background alongside many chemical bottles. The machine will produce some sparks regularly to indicate it is doing its job and not just static.
3. The enemy for this stage is no longer police but it will be drones that have weapons in it. The drones will implement raycast and only shoot when the player is in its’ radar.
We are going to make the bullets or the ammo for the drones. We are currently discussing on what will the drones shoot at the player. We are also going to make some changes to the animations. That’s all for this devlog! You can see all the new assets above! Thank you for your attention and have a nice day escapists!
